Encryption for Tape

NIST 800-171 and CMMC requires that we encrypt our tapes to protect data at rest.  

Is that feature on the roadmap?

@Mr.Ed Thank you for your post. The encryption for tape is in the roadmap and is waiting for its turn. We don't have ETA for it yet and look forward to hearing any feedback from you soon.

Hello, @Sotiris Papasaikas, we are currently implementing a generic backup encryption feature, which will support encryption of backups stored on tape. But, unfortunately, I can't be more specific about the ETA. Be sure, we understand it is very important for our customers. Have a nice day!

Due to new Eu directive NIS2, we  will need encrypted tapes. Is there any progress for this feature ?

Backup encryption for tape and other targets is already planned for the upcoming version 11 of NAKIVO Backup & Replication to be released very soon.

The new cersion 11 supports the backup encryption including tapes.
