BitHerder Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 Hello team, I'm sorry to make yet another thread on this topic, the existing ones are getting old, and I don't see a relevant solution to this issue. Synology DS1618+, DSM 7.1.1-42962 Update 6. I updated Nakivo per the KB instructions to the current 10.11.2.83985-60018. Now getting a "The package version installed is incompatible with your DSM" and thusly have non-functioning backups. I do have the option to manually update the DSM further to 7.2.1, I stopped here on 7.1.1 because that's as far as the auto-updater wanted to go - on this NAS going to 7.2 is a manual install. Should I push DSM up to 7.2.1 to possibly resolve the compatibility? I'm weary because that's a one-way upgrade. Can anyone advise what DSM version is considered compatible with the current 10.11.2.83985-60018 Nakivo package? Thank you for your time. 1 Quote

Hi @BitHerder If the compatibility is confirmed, Follow this manual in updating Synology NAS DSM 7. https://helpcenter.nakivo.com/Knowledge-Base/Content/Installation-and-Deployment-Issues/Updating-Manually-on-Synology-NAS.htm In case you need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us. BitHerder Posted July 26, 2024 Author Posted July 26, 2024 While I appreciate the reply, I'm afraid it's not very helpful. Reading my original post would indicate that I already updated the Nakivo package, and I even already provided the link to that same KB article. What I need to know is why I'm getting an 'incompatible' message now, if it is known what DSM versions are flagged as compatible with the current release of the Nakivo package? 1 Quote
BitHerder Posted July 31, 2024 Author Posted July 31, 2024 For those coming across this thread in the future, this was more of a Synology issue errantly marking the package as incompatible. Nakivo support helped me to grab my userdata, uninstall, reinstall, and replace data, fix things up. We did send the DSM up to 7.2, and installed the same latest (as of the time of writing) 10.11.2. Thank you to the support team for your efforts! 1 Quote
