mwisniewski Posted January 14, 2025 Posted January 14, 2025 Hello, Depending on a workflow and service provider you may be given only single credential pair. To ease creation of backup repository there could be an option to create new bucket with recommended settings. Now (10.x), when you add "empty" storage account to inventory Nakivo spits out "no endpoint found" error - it could just show "no bucket found, do you want to create it using recommended settings?" popup. 1 Quote

Hi @mwisniewski, Please note that NAKIVO Backup & Replication does not create the bucket on the S3 side. If you want to create a repository on S3, please follow the steps below: 1. Create a bucket in S3 web UI. 2. Create a key pair with full permissions in the S3 web UI. 3. Check the S3 provider's documentation for proper service endpoint (example: https://s3.s3provider.com/). 4. Add the S3 provider to the NAKIVO Backup & Replication web UI. See this guide: https://helpcenter.nakivo.com/User-Guide/Content/Settings/Inventory/Adding-Generic-S3-Compatible-Object-Storage.htm 5. Create an S3 based repository in NAKIVO Backup & Replication. Guide: https://helpcenter.nakivo.com/User-Guide/Content/Settings/Backup-Repositories/Creating-Backup-Repositories/Backup-Repository-in-Generic-S3-Compatible-Object-Storage.htm We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to resolving the issue quickly. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thank you for choosing NAKIVO Backup & Replication. Quote
