Differential Backup Option and Backup Types in NAKIVO

Dear NAKIVO Support Team,

I'm using enterprise essential Nakivo v11

I recently read your blog article titled “Differential Backup vs. Incremental Backup” on the NAKIVO website, which describes the three backup types: Full, Incremental, and Differential.

However, after exploring the NAKIVO Backup & Replication web UI, I could not find any menu or configuration option that allows me to select “Differential Backup” as a specific backup type when creating or editing a backup job.

Could you please clarify the following points:

1. Is Differential Backup actually available as a selectable feature in the NAKIVO Backup & Replication product, or is it only described in the blog for conceptual explanation?

2. If Differential Backup is supported, could you please provide documentation or guidance on where to find and enable this option in the UI?

The existing NAKIVO version does not support differential backups.

Just to clarify — does NAKIVO have any plans to add differential backup support in future releases, or should we assume the product will continue to rely solely on incremental backup types with full backups?

ATM Nakivo supports 2 types of backups: 

1) Incremental with periodic full (default)
2) forever incremental 

Currently it is not planned to add support for differential backup.
