Hi all,

I’m facing an issue as shown in below. This is an hourly incremental (INC) backup, and the issue occurs intermittently—sometimes 2 or 3 times per day.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue before? If so, could you please share how you fixed it or any suggestions to troubleshoot?

Thank you in advance for your support.

ISSUE DETAIL

Backup of the "xxx" VM cannot be started

Address of source or target host cannot be resolved on the "Onboard transporter" transporter. Make sure DNS is properly configured on this transporter.

Hi @Thomas,

Please try the following.

1. Log in to the Onboard transporter.
2. Check if the DNS configuration is correct.
3. Ping the target host using the FQDN name and confirm that it is reachable.
4. Confirm that nothing is blocking the connection between the transporter and the hosts.
5. Check if the transporter is not overloaded during the backup job.
