Hello, i'm using Nakivo on proxmox since november. 

I wish to know how the logic works when backupping vm on THICK LVM.

Does nakivo backup directly the vm, or works like other backup software snapshotting and backupping the vm. I've saw also that writes in /tmp but the files written there are just few mb(depending on the backupped vm)

Hello @opk.giandomenico,

NAKIVO is a snapshot-based solution. The product sends the API request to Proxmox to create a snapshot of the source VM, then processes the data, and sends it to the repository.

After the job is complete, the product sends the API request to delete the snapshot.
