Jens Kupka
Hello everyone, we are currently running the Nakivo application and the repositories on a Synology DS920+ (DSM 7.2.1) and want to move everything to a new Synology RS1221RP+ (DSM 7.2.1). How do we have to proceed to move everything 1:1 (clone) to the new NAS in order to be able to continue using the repositories, Jobs and licences? Many thanks in advance Jens

Many thanks in advance Jens Hello, @Jens Kupka, here how you can transition to your new Synology while moving your repositories, jobs, and licenses: 1) Export System Configuration from your current NAS. This step involves saving your current system settings, which include job configurations and license information. You can find detailed instructions on how to do this in our user guide: https://helpcenter.nakivo.com/User-Guide/Content/Settings/General/System-Migration.htm 2) Copy the repository folder to the new NAS. Ensure you replicate the repository folder exactly as it exists on the old NAS. This action preserves all your backup data. More information on this process is available here: https://helpcenter.nakivo.com/Knowledge-Base/Content/Frequently-Asked-Questions/Backup-Repository/Moving-a-Backup-Repository-to-a-New-Location.htm 3) Install and update NAKIVO Backup & Replication on the new NAS. After installing the product from the Synology App Center on your new NAS, make sure to update the application to the latest version. Instructions for manual updates can be found here: https://helpcenter.nakivo.com/Knowledge-Base/Content/Installation-and-Deployment-Issues/Updating-Manually-on-Synology-NAS.htm 4) Finally, import the system configuration you exported from the old NAS. This step will restore your job settings and license details to the new system. Let us know if you need further assistance.
Jens Kupka
Hello Mod, I have successfully completed the first three steps (step 4 has an error). 1. export the system configuration of the ‘old’ Nakivo installation (approx. 10 GB <- Yes, 10GB) 2. directories replicated 1:1 using ‘rsync’ 3. installation of the Nakivo package (both Nakivo versions (from old and new NAS) are identical in version (10.8.0.73174-70012). But there are problems with the fourth step. I get the following error message when trying to import the system configuration: ‘Cannot upload the file: Size of the file exceeds the allowed limit.’ In the export ZIP file there is a directory (tenants\0\plugin-settings) with 12,526 files (approx. 10GB content) with names like a UUID (an the binary content starts with "BHDB". This seems to be a problem. Is there a way to bypass/change the file size limitation or reduce the file size without affecting the target installation? Many thanks in advance for your support
Jens Kupka
I think I have found a solution to change the max upload filesize. I activated the "expert"-mode and change the value from the parameter "http.max.upload.size" to 11GB (11000000000). (https://helpcenter.nakivo.com/User-Guide/Content/Settings/Expert-Mode.htm) The import has now been started and I hope that it runs successfully and that I can start my backups afterwards. If there are any problems, I will contact you again. Many thanks for your help so far. Kind regards, Jens
