Garry.web
Hi, everyone! I'm a bit worried now as we have network users all over the place with the remote work. Of course, it has plenty of advantages, but I need to offer our CEO some security measures so that the network is safe. Any suggestions? How do you deal with your endpoints? Hakim
@Garry.web, use backup solutions but take care with cloud-based options and automated synchronization. If you have multiple copies, at least the data will be safe when something happens. Plus, talk to your team so that they take care regarding phishing emails, opening suspicious attachments, etc.
Official Moderator
Hi,@Garry.web! It is great that you think about endpoint security as it is one of the weakest parts of the network. To protect your endpoints, consider the following: Educate your team about cybersecurity. Primarily, ensure having complex passwords, no administrator access for the employees that don't need it, regular security patch updates and general knowledge about how malware spreads. Organize your network to have more control over it. Keep track of each endpoint, and don't let your team use just any device to connect to the network. The best is to run a vulnerability test before allowing any device. Think of advanced protection. The antivirus isn't enough for decent protection. Consider event log collection, real-time protection, application whitelisting and other advanced features. Never neglect updates. Regular patches and licensing updates are crucial to securing your network. New versions can remove the bugs that make devices vulnerable. User automated detection solutions to identify breaches and monitor the environment continuously.
